Trippie Redd & PARTYNEXTDOOR release new single: “Excitement”

On Friday 15 May, Trippie Redd released a new track featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR titled “Excitement”. The song is the first single since the release of Trippie’s mixtape “A Love Letter to You 4 (Deluxe)” as well as PARTYNEXTDOOR’s first release since his 3rd studio album “Partymobile”. The opening of the song (featuring vocals from PARTYNEXTDOOR) flows very well and naturally to Trippie Redd who makes the intentions of the song very clear. The song talks about the relationship that the two share with their partners and lyrically could be compared to 2019’s “Candy” by Machine Gun Kelly featuring Trippie Redd. The dark production on the song mixed with the intimate lyrics make the song very ear pleasing, especially when the beat drops with PARTYNEXTDOOR’s verse. The audio production on the track really helps the song and is probably its main feature. The song takes a very different direction than that of his previous project (mentioned earlier), as the lyrics are not as melancholy and heartbroken. We see that the song picks up on that melancholy feel with production instead.

So what does this release mean? It is reported that this is the first single off of Trippie Redd’s third studio album “Pegasus” (spelled like this) but until that is released or a pre order is available that remains to be seen. It was also reported that this song was supposed to be a track off of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s album but didn’t make the cut, however this information is not confirmed. If this will feature on Trippie’s new album, we could see a departure from the writing done on the “A Love Letter to You” series and maybe be a whole new era for Redd. Whatever the future of this song is, we know that this master crafted song is sure to be an instant favorite of both Trippie and PARTY fans alike.
